Hi. My name is Kimberly Winrotte otherwise known as Yamina. I am a huge dork and I like it like that. I'm an avid reader and history buff. I have been doing 18th and early 19th century re-enacting for 18 years and plan on doing it for many more years to come.
I am also a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism aka the SCA, which is a medieval recreation group. Every year since I turned 18 I have been going to the SCA's largest event, Pennsic Wars. It is great. Where else can you go running around in weird clothes and camp with 13,000 of your closest friends for two weeks? Seriously, it's a blast.
Within the SCA I am part of a household called the Great Dark Horde. These people are my family and I wouldn't change it for the world. We are just a great big international, disfunctional, wonderful family.
Mundanely as well as interspersed with my hobbies, I am a semi-proffesional historical costumer. I love and hate to sew at the same time. Seriously, when I have to cut things out people just leave me alone until I get to the sewing part or they are going to die, horribly!
